Angela Martini – Model, Author, and Life Coach

Angela Martini, Miss Universe Albania 2010 and Elite model, has just written the book ‘Love, Light, Hope’.

We spoke with Martini about her journey from being a model to venturing into being an author and licensed life coach.

To read more about her journey read her answers below:

1. When did you realize you wanted to become a model?
“I wanted to be a model for as long as I can remember – since I was a little girl.”

2. What played into you deciding to come to the U.S. against your parents’ wishes?
“I went on vacation to NYC when I was 11, ever since that trip I knew I wanted this country to be my home. I immediately felt very comfortable there and I had never experienced that feeling before. Since that moment, there was no stopping my dream of living in the US.”

3. How did the Miss Universe Albania title change your career as a model?
“Winning Miss Universe Albania influenced my career by giving me more popularity and it also opened the door to a whole new world of entertainment for me. I had the chance to meet a lot of amazing people. Meeting everyone and sharing our ideas and thoughts inspired me to want more and to become the best version of myself. In such a productive environment, I was lucky that I had the chance to express who I really am and get their attention by being nothing more than myself.”

4. How do your parents feel now that you have found success in modeling?
“You know, I don’t talk to them much about my career. I never asked them about it, and we haven’t discussed how they are feeling about it now. Coming from the small city of Shkoder (Albania) and looking back at my journey, I am assuming they are happy now.”

5. Now that you’re adding more titles to your list of talents, tell us why you wanted to add author to that list?
“Why not? Besides the fact that – being a real Gemini – I like variety in life! I realized after 8 years of modeling that I want to do more in my life and I found the way to express my inner soul – who I really am inside- not just how I look. I created a great opportunity to send messages to the world through my writing. I discovered that writing is one of the things that fulfill my soul.”
