When I was 20 years old I lived in West Africa for several years. During the trip, my friend and I spent about a week in the small village of Casamance. One day we went on a picnic far into the jungle, to the lake. We found a wonderful place far in the forest, sat under a tree. It was very hot. After some time, we heard a noise and saw a company of African boys near us from about 6 years old to 13 years old.
They laughed out loud, shouted a lot and were going to swim in the lake, for them it was a huge entertainment. They ran, jumped, put each other on their shoulders and poured from huge cans. We decided to take pictures of them, and when they noticed this we were so happy, ran up and hugged us, looked at the photos with insane joy.
They have been living in the village all their life, one of them has never even seen a camera. Being involved was a great happiness for them. I want to share these sunny boys with the world, these are children who know how to enjoy things that we completely ceased to appreciate. They will be happy to know that now more people have seen them.
