Son Jung Wan presented her Fall Winter 2020 collection this New York Fashion Week at Spring Studios, strictly inspired by the 1950’s. The decade’s colorful aura and structured silhouettes paved their through the catwalk, reminding us what vintage fashion truly means. Textured textiles and voluminous shapes worked in harmony to illustrate this seductive, captivating decade most of us never got the chance to witness.

To add to what Son Jung Wan does best, these dated inspirations were met with a modern twist, giving everyone a chance to experience the 1950’s in 2020. The designer’s in depth understanding of fabric, seaming and draping was proven to be exquisite, evident across the choice in textile pairings and color. From her color palette to construction, Son Jung Wan managed to stay within this year’s trends and still tie in a glimpse from the past.
