Eastman joins eco-friendly textile leaders to lead innovative changes

 Eastman joins eco-friendly textile leaders including nonprofit global member organization, the maker of sustainably sourced Naia cellulosic yarn, committed to reducing the textile industry’s impact on the environment Textile Exchange. Ellen MacArthur Foundation‘s Circular Economy 100 to create solutions to enable a more circular economy. Eastman has also partnered with Canopy to collaborate on the conservation of the world’s ancient and endangered forests.

Naia is produced with 100% traceable and sustainably sourced wood pulp in a safe, closed-loop process. Solvents are recycled & reused. Naia™ has a streamlined, low-sway assembling process with a minimal tree-to-yarn carbon and water impression. Eastman and it’s wood mash providers hold FSC® and additionally PEFC™ Chain of Custody affirmations. Eastman has united together with FSC to advance FSC Mix (FSC-C140711) for Eastman Naia™ cellulosic yarns.

Eastman has joined efforts with Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s circular economy is based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems.
