Seashells and Mixed Metals

Weather in the fall can be a bit unpredictable.

Mornings can be chilling to the bone and afternoons can leave one feeling toasty if wearing the wrong garments. Neutral colors fill the streets for most through the fall and winter months. TPM is here to keep you looking on point this season with an unexpected twist: seashell print and mixed metals.

Seashells aren’t just for summertime and beaches. This seashell crop top is created from bamboo and silk. The top works well for fall due to the black background and the brown and gold colors found in the fabric. Pair the top with an elegant white high waisted maxi skirt. The white fabric draws attention to the minimal amount of white and silver that is shown in the skirt and goes well with both silver and gold.

The maxi skirt is made out of 100% bamboo. Both the skirt and top are both created in the United Kingdom. Lateral pockets have been place in the skirt, which will come in handy if you need more than what will fit in this adorable, tiny, yellow clutch. This clutch is perfect for a traveler, with pockets that firmly hold passports and boarding passes. The clutch also has pockets for cards, a pen holder, and is made from recycled leather.

Wear a black vegan leather jacket and vegan black booties to take the look from “Summertime Confusion” to “Autumn Goddess”. Harper Lange created a vegan leather jacket that has a business in the front, party in the back vibe. The front of the jacket entails a beautiful drape-front while the back is decorated with fringe. Avesu’s black ankle booties are 100% vegan and made under fair working conditions. On Avesu’s “How A Shoe Is Made” page, they explain how they are the only completely vegan free shoe factory.  If that’s not a reason to buy their shoes what is?

Make a statement with statement jewelry. Mix and match metals to have fun with the look. As mentioned earlier, the seashell top has brownish gold tones along with whitish silver tones. Play the tones up by wearing  two different statement rings in two different metals. The gold will not only enhance the shirt, but will also coordinate nicely with the yellow clutch. The button on the yellow clutch and the buckle on the black ankle booties are both silver, hence another reason to mix the metals. The gold bib necklace is a perfect finishing touch to complete the look. This necklace is made in the United States and is 18″ long.

Remember to embrace your inner Autumn Goddess this season!
