Did someone say fashion show and tea party? This past Wednesday the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) teamed up with Vogue Fashion Fund to host their annual CVFF show at Chateau Marmont. The CVFF show helps emerging designers by awarding them with recognition and funds to help them pursue their dreams. According to the CFDA, their mission is to strengthen the impact of American fashion in the global economy.
Several celebrities attended to support the event and of course, for the love of fashion. From Ciara to Alessandra Ambrosio and other A-list celebrities, the event had a great turn out. This year’s event was hosted by Emma Stone, Lisa Love, Kate Spade’s Deborah Lloyd and Mark Holgate of Vogue.
A stand out for me was Adam Selman’s collection of sequins laden retro futuristic looks. The iridescent sheen on the models visors paired well their outfits. This was the last opportunity for him and the other up and coming designers to wow everyone in attendance. On November 7th winners will be chosen and awarded. Stay tuned to see who takes home the big prize.
What better way to end the show with a tea party decked out in Kate Spade New York home and tabletop designs.
