6 POSITIVE THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND

SHANGHAI HOTSPOT
Our #brandtotrust Forevermark has opened its first concept store Libert’aime in Shanghai, China. If you’re in the area, head to the shop at HKRI Taikoo Hui, a space designed to commemorate the 1000th Forevermark store in China. Discover the ‘Millenial’ Diamond Bar, for everyday diamonds you can wear all year round, or if you’re after a special event piece there’s a spot for that too. And designed by a leading French architect, it serves up some interior inspiration. If you can’t make it, read their latest interview with rising Asian star Timmy Xu Wiezhou and explore their collection online.

A ROYAL TASTING
If, like us, you’re still missing the Royal Wedding head to Hackney, East London to Violet Bakery – the bakery who supplied the Royal wedding cake. Independantly-owned by Claire Ptak, this tiny bakery was contacted directly by Meghan to create an elder flower and lemon cake for their special day, using fruit from the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Although a one-off creation, all their delicious desserts use organic and low-intervention ingredients for that home-made feel you don’t have to whip up yourself.

A SPRINKLE OF HEALTH
Long weekends are a time to restore and recharge. Use it to brush up on your cooking skills and replenish your kitchen cupboards with herbs and plants that can help reduce stress. Not sure on what to get? Read our latest blog post Adaptogens: Could Going Green Reduce Your Stress and discover a more natural way to steel yourself for the return to work.

A FLORAL DISPLAY
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show puts on a jaw dropping flower display every year, running until the 26th of May. Weave your way through heady peonies, roses and more or simply stroll around South West London to see some of the borough’s famous hot-spots dressed up for the occasion – we love Annabel’s of Mayfair’s bedecked front.

PRIZE-WINNING CRAFTSMANSHIP
Catch #brandtotrust Loewe at The Design Museum, displaying the winners from their Loewe Foundation Craft Prize. A yearly competition, this brand is known for its love of craftsmanship and the exhibition summarises the best of craft with artistic ambition around the world. From 4 May – 17 June, it’s an unprecedented opportunity to meet the most outstanding international and cross-generational works on ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, glass, metalwork, furniture, paper craft and lacquer.

A TASTE OF SUMMER
Head to Selfridges rooftop restaurant to sample their seasonal menu, curated by San Carlo. Befitting an oasis in central London, the decoration consists of extensive verdant overhead foliage and citrus trees, all underneath a retractable roof that’s perfect for sunny days. Pause on the way up, and look out for our #brandstotrust – the Temperley London collection is all your summer dreams realised.
