ALMETA STUDIO

AL META is a project that was born out of the idea of smart design and the mathematics of how nature forms it’s shapes. The materials used for the knitwear comes from the knitwear factories that is usually thrown away on landfill. The brand is using the same shapes, not re-cutting them into new shapes, but just connecting them to get as much zero.waste result as possible. In the end of the production it has only tiny dust as a production waste. When connecting the pieces, the brand follows the arithmetical averages. The shapes must follow the forms and the structures of the most intelligent designer in the world: nature itself.

The reason for this artistic project is to widen the eye of any consumer. The shapes should impress and inspire people to think about what they are throwing away daily, and what could actually be made out of it – something even more better, longer lasting and functional. There are too many resources wasted too generously on our beloved planet Earth. The brand wants to up-cycle that ”waste” into new artistic pieces.
