Ziza Style Habits Remake the Classic Italian Handbag with a Sustainable Twist

Italian handbag line Ziza Style Habits hopes to introduce shoppers to the sustainable lifestyle. CEO and founder Giusy Leo Imperiale created the brand to educate customers about the importance of being environmentally-conscious.

“The goal is to attract customers who have not yet developed a conscious choice towards sustainability,” Imperiale explained. “Ziza bags have been designed to translate functionality and style into a single concept of sustainability.”

Ziza handbags use Pinatex, an alternative to leather.

Ziza launched their first collection in 2015, featuring totes and clutches made of Pinatex, a leather alternative made of pineapple leaves. The brand has now expanded their styles into coin purses and backpacks while continuing to use the innovative natural Pinatex textile. All handbags handmade in Italy.

Ziza handbags are not only vegan but also versatile. Each model can be modified by adding shoulder straps and interchangeable natural rope handles to create different customizations for different occasions. Imperiale chose to make handbags with the ability to constantly change to mirror nature itself.

All handbags are customizable with different rope straps.

“For me, living in a natural way means reusing natural resources and translating them into a new concept of fashion,” Imperiale continued.

The PETA-certified minimalist handbags are available in a variety of colors, ranging from neutrals to metallic shades. The vegan brand pairs style with accessibility.

“Being sustainable is functional,” Imperiale said. “But, above all, beautiful.”
