Italian brand Trussardi recently showcased their mens and womenswear fall/winter collection at Milan Fashion Week. The latest from the century-old fashion house mixed urban minimalist chic with rugged shapes to create a style perfect for winter weekend getaways.

Trussardi was founded in 1911 as a leather glove manufacturer, and began producing ready-to-wear clothing in the 1980s. Amazingly, the brand is still within the founding Trussardi family today, with Gaia Trussardi as creative director. The Italian It girl has propelled the line to the forefront of European style.

The Trussardi fall/winter collection was rift with tartan plaids and oversized utilitarian coats. The looks for male and female models were almost interchangeable. Each outfit had hints of neon, either in accessory choices or layered fabrics. Trussardi also offered a new twist on biker jackets, presenting asymmetrical leather vests as well as jackets with large slogans.

Trussardi credits the inspiration for the collection as a weekend winter getaway to the forest or snowy hilltops. With Trussardi’s latest styles, anyone can look chic while on an autumn vacation.
