Marc Jacobs Beauty has just announced that they have selected model Adwoa Aboah as the face of the brand for the upcoming year. Adwoa’s breakthrough moment was in March 2017, when she was pictured on the cover of Vogue Magazine alongside Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Before that, she battled with addiction, and mental illness, and had fallen into a coma for four days after a suicide attempt. However, this low point in Adwoa’s life didn’t stop her, as she was on the cover of Vogue Magazine only a few months after. Since then, she created an online community called “Gurls Talk” which serves as a platform for young women with the same struggles Adwoa once had herself.
As for her recent debut with Marc Jacobs, it seems the two have had a long history, Adwoa recently stated “Marc gave me my first fashion show in New York City. It was a dream come true, and from that point on, he has been one of my biggest supporters.” Adwoa’s campaign begins with the release of the Le Marc liquid lip crayons, which will be available in stores and online in December.
