For designer Fadel Denibi, the upcoming spring season screams clean. The Denibi Barcelona Spring-Summer ’18 featured monochromatic looks with unexpected fabric pairings that mixed shades and textures for classic tones such as camel and black. A standout piece was a wool suit with a mismatching cream blazer and white pants, breathing an air of freshness into conservative silhouettes.
The show was hosted along the Hudson River in Pier 39. The full-glass room allowed for a stunning view of TriBeCa with Alicia Keys playing in the background.
Each model walked with sheer confidence in their avant-garde frocks. Outfits complimented one another with the addition of small cheeky details calling back to Denibi’s personal inspiration (think tribal handbags featuring African masks). This collection gave a beautiful twist on menswear elegance and touches of futuristic styling.
The Barcelona-based fashion house mixes the aesthetics of Spain with African heritage, resulting in minimalistic tastefulness. Denibi himself credits architecture and innovation as influences for his spring collection.
All Denibi products are handmade in Spain.
