One of the first inspirations of Francesca Liberatore’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection was of traveling, time traveling to be exact. Liberatore used fabrics of French lace, silk jacquard and some of the purest cotton available to convey this collection. She hand-drew two signature prints that would describe her vision of time travel. The first print was of watch mechanisms, looking inside, the inner workings of the watch and of course time.
The lightest of blues, soft yellows, dirty greens, and pink-tinged lilacs were all used in conjunction with the feminine fabrics. From the beautiful sheer blouse and skirt with lace to the yellow ruffled blouse and skirt, these two pieces were reminiscent of Marie Antoinette’s France. The watch mechanisms on the grey and white blouse paired with black palazzo pants, you clearly see her vision.
