Colorado-based DJ and producer Nick Miller, aka Illenium, has announced the first phase of an extensive North American tour which begins in Denver this November and includes dates in San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago among others. The Awake tour – with as-of-yet unannounced supporting acts – is promised to include a fully revamped live set – so don’t worry all of you festival-goers who caught him at Bonnaroo, there’s something different in store! Partnering with the tour announcement, Illenium released the full Trivecta remix of ‘Fractures’ which was originally teased at the beginning of the month in his minute and a half recap of his time at EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival). A fan favorite, originally released in February of this year featuring Nevves vocal talents, the track’s new variation becomes quite the banger when Trivecta’s producing skills are added to the mix; both artists’ touches clearly on display.
But that was only the beginning of what Illenium had up his sleeve this July. A combo made in electronica heaven, duo Zeds Dead have teamed up with Miller for the electric guitar and bass drum heavy ‘Where The Wild Things Are’. Calling the release with Zeds Dead “ pretty surreal”, Illenium tweeted, “These guys have always been a huge inspiration of mine.” Where does this leave us as far as a new album goes? There’s still no news, but it can pretty much be guaranteed we’ll hear more from the dulcet producer in the coming weeks. ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ is out now via Deadbeats.
