Who knew that walking in four-inch heels could help others? Aquazzura is releasing a new heart-studded stiletto inspired by Happy Hearts Fund on May 16th, with 25% of the proceeds donated to building schools in 10 countries.
Edgardo Osorio, the designer behind the magic brand that is Aquazzura, spearheaded the partnership with Happy Hearts Fund. The organization was founded by model-philanthropist Petra Nemcova in 2004, after she survived the Indian Ocean Tsunami in Thailand. New York-based Happy Hearts Fund focuses on rebuilding schools, and has made an impact in Haiti, Chile, Indonesia, and a variety of other nations affected by natural disasters.
This is the first charitable partnership that Aquazzura has led, with the full design of a shoe dedicated to the non-profit they are benefitting.
Aquazzura is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Barney’s. With Aquazzura shoes on average costing at least $500, it is expected to be a large donation to Happy Hearts Fund.
