We are back with news about fashionista (and TPM contributor) Angela Carp, who has left her mark in the fashion industry with her creativity, spontaneity and solid fashion skills, by participating in the most famous style competition in Romania, “Bravo, ai stil!”. Let’s see what Angie has to say about her performance during the show.
Hello, Angie! Allow me to begin by sincerely congratulating you on your amazing performance during the “Bravo, Ai Stil!” show!
Hello, Alex, and thank you so much!
How did you feel during your first day in the “Bravo, Ai Stil!” studio? Was it your first time on a filming set?
I remember being extremely nervous, even though it wasn’t my first time on set.
“I demonstrate determination in everything that I do.”
You seemed really determined in your presentation video, how did you decide to participate to the show?
It is true, I demonstrate determination in everything that I do. I made the decision to participate to “Bravo, Ai Stil!” while I was still at school, in Milan. I signed-up online on their official site, and later they called me and scheduled me for the casting. I remember landing in Bucharest very late at night, and the next morning I had to go straight to the studio.
Who is the judge that you feared the most and why?
Oh, I did not fear the judges! But I can confess that I hold very deep respect and appreciation for Maurice Munteanu. I have been following his blog long before the show and it went straight to my heart from the beginning.
What do you think about the concept of wearing less in order to gain more followers on social media and in real life?
It depends on the context, but, as far as I am concerned, I have never applied this method. I strongly believe that you can get to people’s hearts by being yourself, through your personal charm, and not by revealing your body.
“Each of us needed some weaker performances in order to receive constructive criticism to help us evolve and become better and better every day.”
Which gala theme did you love the most and what do you think about your performance in that gala?
I have two favorite galas: the one in which I had to interpret the character Roxie, from the movie Chicago, and the gala in which I got eliminated. In my last gala I wanted to emphasize the idea of duality, by wearing an exceptional costume and by performing a well-thought-out, high-quality moment. I have honestly fully enjoyed both performances.
Just as every other contestant, you did have some ups and downs according to the judges, what do you think about your evolution during the contest?
Absolutely! Each of us needed some weaker performances in order to receive constructive criticism to help us evolve and become better and better every day. This is what my journey was like: fair, constructive and extremely beautiful.
Who is the contestant that has impressed you the most and why?
Apart from myself? I could say that Iulia is the contestant who has left the strongest impression on me, because she was all about being natural and she really believed in herself. I think that self-confidence is the sexiest quality that a woman could ever have.
Any funny / memorable backstage stories worth sharing with us?
Most of the funniest moments were created by Maurice, who was constantly displaying his exquisite acting skills by impersonating different characters and persons.
“This is what my journey was like: fair, constructive and extremely beautiful.”
You got really far into the competition, but were you prepared to leave after the seventh gala? To quote Maurice, your gala moment was exceptional. Did you expect to be eliminated?
Exactly, my moment really was exceptional. I can say that my elimination was not on me, because I have really put my soul into that moment and I did everything I could in order to make it perfect. Therefore, I have left the competition without any regrets and complete self-confidence, knowing that I do own a fine taste in fashion and style.
You have gathered thousands of followers after your participation to the contest. What else has changed? What’s next?
Yes, it’s true. It has been a real surprise for me! Up until this moment, there are more than 30.000 wonderful people following me, and the numbers keep rising every day. It really makes me happy that these people really follow my journey, they want to see me, which is great for future collaborations. A public which is very involved is the first condition for me having more wonderful opportunities.

How will this affect your collaboration with TPM?
I hope that our collaboration will be just as beautiful as it has always been.
Could you please use three words to describe your overall impression on the competition?
Show, experience, fun.
Would you do it again?
