“This collection is inspired by overcoming the difficulties in ones life, and creating something beautiful from the experience – making you stronger
Out of the darkness the beauty of light transcends”
This was the theme of the fall/winter 2017 collection from Oday Shakar. The day clothes gave way for more of an evening and sportier look, with oversize cashmere cable-knit sweaters, skinny metallic T-shirts over long flowing or pleated skirts.
Shakar has stated: “I want the silhouettes to accentuate a woman’s form — defined by reverse and S-curved seaming.” That he did, the dresses were subtle, with complexity of hand beading which made it even more stunning. The gowns were flowing, again with hand beading along the bodice.
Shakar, outdid himself again.
