The ZINK story is that of the voyager.
We explore the world to find exceptional materials that have been handcrafted by artisans for generations. Each discovery adds cultural character to the classic heritage of ZINK design.
Whether you’re traveling across town or around the globe, our designs define the chic adventurer.
Every piece in our collection is the result of a journey. They are a celebration of the experiences, discoveries, and passions that brought us where we are today: to ZINK, modern American classics with a global aesthetic.
ZINK. Where your journey begins.
Each ZINK creation has a story to tell. Whether it’s one of heritage New England craftsmanship or ancient indigenous tradition, each ZINK design incorporates timeless techniques to create designs of heirloom quality.
Quality. In that one word rests everything that is important to us here at ZINK. We believe that luxurious items should be built to last. That’s why we line our handbags in the finest quality canvas, use solid brass hardware, and source our fabrics directly from renowned family-run mills or through partnerships with socially responsible cooperatives and nonprofits across the world.
At ZINK, we believe that true quality exists without cruelty. For us, it is all in the details. From material to maker, we are committed to bringing you timeless, artisan goods of the highest quality. It’s 100% vegan. It’s 100% ethically made. It’s ZINK.
Born near Boston, ZINK’s Founder and Creative Director Ben Freedland earned a degree in international studies from Boston University before entering New York’s world of fashion. There, he refined his skills and perfected his craft during years spent working with fashion icons like Giorgio Armani, Bergdorf Goodman, Ermenegildo Zegna, Michael Kors, and Burberry.
On a cultural tour of the Far East, Ben was enchanted by the beauty and craftsmanship he encountered in every workshop and studio he explored. It was then that Ben realized the time had come to make his mark—as creator of a brand distinguished by individual artistry, classic modern style, and enduring quality.
Like his grandfather Robert Zink, the award-winning weaver of Nantucket baskets and namesake of the company, Ben embraces the world’s grand wonders while treasuring every ethereal detail of an artist’s touch.
ZINK is a vision that honors Ben’s grandfather’s traditions while celebrating the extraordinary journey of life.
