When any luxury brand designer takes on a philanthropic partnership, we tend to automatically think of Tom’s, who uses footwear and accessories to give to those in need. But the powerhouse luxury giant of Louis Vuitton has just partnered with UNICEF to support the most vulnerable children around the world. Their specific aim with this global partnership is to help raise funds for UNICEF and give support to children that are in situations of diseases, conflicts, natural disasters and other harmful situations that can threaten their safety and well-being.
Funds raised through this Louis Vuitton partnership are aimed to help reach all children everywhere. They’ve come up with a specially designed Silver Lockit – symbolizing protection and care – is available in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and on www.louisvuitton.com/lvforunicef . For each sale of the Silver Lockit pendant or bracelet, $200 is donated to UNICEF.
The staff, at Louis Vuitton, partners, and clients have also been directly involved and have made donations to UNICEF and the brand encourages them all to make donations throughout the year.
Louis Vuitton invites people to join in their promise to help children by linking pinkies with a loved one. People are invited to make a donation and then share online their promise to help children in need. Take a look at some of those who have promised:
